Aesyra is a Swiss MedTech company developing oral appliance technology for monitoring and relieving sleep bruxism, the nocturnal grinding of teeth. An EPFL spin-off based in Geneva, it combines embedded sensor hardware, sleep monitoring and medical device engineering in a single product domain spanning MedTech, sleep medicine and dentistry.
Its product, AesyBite™, is a family of smart oral appliances with embedded sensors that collect and display sleep metrics, offering both diagnosis and treatment for bruxism. Each appliance is customised to the patient's mouth and designed to be compact and comfortable with minimal thickness. The company reports a 70% reduction in bruxism activity after just three nights of use, and has secured regulatory approval in the EU.
Aesyra works with clinical and academic partners including EPFL, San Gerardo Hospital in Italy and the Clinique Universitaire De Médecine Dentaire in Geneva. Its research and development activity covers medical devices, oral appliance technology, embedded sensors and sleep monitoring, with a presence in Switzerland and the wider EU market.
