Alaan is building the Middle East's first AI-powered spend management platform, designed to simplify finance for businesses. The company's product combines smart corporate cards, real-time expense tracking, AI-driven automation, accounting integrations, and financial insights into a single platform. Its technical focus spans artificial intelligence, automation, and financial data analytics.
The platform is used by over 2,000 businesses across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Alaan reports that its customers have collectively saved more than AED 100 million, and the company reached profitability within three years of founding. It is backed by Y Combinator and other global investors.
Alaan operates at the intersection of finance and business operations. The team culture emphasises startup speed, ownership, and autonomy, with the expectation that employees can drive meaningful impact from early on. Team members bring experience from organisations including McKinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Careem, and Rippling.
