AXQ Capital is a quantitative investment firm founded in 2016 that runs systematic trading strategies across global futures, equities, foreign exchange and fixed income. The firm treats artificial intelligence as a central pillar of both its research and its trading infrastructure, combining machine learning, deep learning and generative AI with classical statistical techniques applied at scale. Its strategies deploy diverse sources of investment edge across geographies, asset classes and trading horizons, and account for more than $2bn in daily trading volume.
For technologists, the work spans quantitative finance research, data engineering and the build-out of systematic trading infrastructure, with ideas taken from concept to production by teams working side by side. AXQ Capital states that it invests continuously in technology and data and incorporates the latest advances in AI research into its systems.
The firm operates from four offices - New York, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing - and recruits from institutions including Baruch MFE, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Peking University and Tsinghua University. Team members have prior experience at Citadel, Two Sigma, Jump Trading, Tower Research and Schonfeld. AXQ Capital maintains a longstanding strategic partnership with Schonfeld, a global multi-strategy investment platform. Its stated culture emphasises curiosity, rigour and ownership, with a preference for first-principles thinking tested against empirical results.
