BeyondMath, founded in 2022, is a pioneer of Generative Physics - a field it defines as the development of foundational AI models trained on the fundamental laws of physics. The company's Generative Physics Platform is trained directly on first-principles physics to produce engineering-grade simulations, a design intended to address limitations of traditional solvers and of approaches relying on existing simulation data. BeyondMath reports that the platform runs up to 1000 times faster than traditional supercomputing methods.
The company's technical work spans foundational AI models, physics-informed machine learning, computational physics and engineering simulation. Applications are concentrated in engineering-intensive sectors, including automotive, aerospace, energy, semiconductors, construction, telecommunications, electronics and motorsport, with collaborations involving major manufacturers, Formula 1 teams and aerospace innovators. Technology partnerships include NVIDIA and AWS.
BeyondMath was founded by Alan Patterson and Darren Garvey, both described as AI industry veterans. The company is headquartered in London, UK, with operations in Cambridge, UK, and has raised $18.5m in seed funding.
