Chariot Defense is a defense technology company developing software-defined power distribution systems for modern warfare. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, the company works on delivering reliable electricity at the tactical edge, where conventional infrastructure does not exist. It emerged from stealth in 2024.
The company's flagship product, Amphora Edge Power, is a family of transportable power systems designed for sustained military operations. It integrates high-voltage batteries, solid-state power electronics and orchestration software into mobile platforms built for deployment close to the front line. The systems are intended to supply power for drones, sensors, electronic warfare systems and directed energy weapons.
Technical work spans software-defined power distribution, high-voltage battery systems, solid-state power electronics, power orchestration software, mobile and tactical energy systems, and hardware-software integration. The company has been awarded a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) contract to build the Army's tactical power grid. Its investors include Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst.
