Cylake is a cybersecurity company founded in 2026 to serve organisations that cannot send their data to the public cloud. It builds a vertically integrated platform - combining rack-mounted hardware, software, a unified data lake and on-board AI compute - so that security data stays under the customer's complete control, including in fully air-gapped environments. The company was founded by serial cybersecurity entrepreneurs Nir Zuk (a founder of Palo Alto Networks), Wilson Xu and Ehud 'Udi' Shamir.
The platform replaces fragmented tooling with a single ingestion and detection pipeline, covering data ingestion, threat detection and investigation, and policy enforcement. Cylake cites threat investigation times of seconds. Its appliances scale by stacking and operate as a private-cloud deployment, requiring no connection to the public internet.
The product is currently in development, with the company working alongside design partners in some of the world's largest and most regulated institutions. Target sectors include government, defence contracting, critical infrastructure, the public sector and regulated institutions more broadly. Engineering work spans cybersecurity, air-gapped infrastructure, AI compute, security data platforms and appliance hardware.
