Dallas ISD is a public school district in Dallas, Texas, and the second-largest in the state. It serves more than 130,000 students across 228 campuses and employs more than 22,000 team members. Instruction is delivered through legacy neighbourhood schools, specialised magnet programmes and career institutes, alongside central support services that cover academic services, professional development, student support, enrolment, transportation, food services and construction.
Technology roles sit within the district's central operations, where the technical domains are instructional technology and education technology. These functions support teaching and learning across the full estate of campuses and form part of a wider central team that also handles academic services and staff professional development.
By the Texas Education Agency's most recent ratings, the district holds a B rating, and nearly 93% of its campuses received an A, B or C. Two of its high schools are ranked among the top public high schools in the United States. The district also runs family and community resources, including culturally responsive and welcoming-school initiatives and community engagement programmes.
