In January 2006, our founders at Deutsche Telekom recognized an opportunity to establish a world-class IT competence center in Eastern Europe, leading to the creation of T-Systems Slovakia in the Košice region. The vision was clear: build a center of excellence that could deliver high-quality ICT services to the Deutsche Telekom group while tapping into Slovakia's emerging talent pool. From those early days, we evolved rapidly, becoming founding members of the Košice IT Valley association and growing from a startup to the region's second-largest employer with over 3,900 professionals. Our transformation journey has been remarkable - from a project-driven model providing IT experts on demand, to an innovative, product-oriented company that designs and manages complete service lifecycles for customers across Germany, the European Union, and globally.
In July 2020, we took a strategic step forward when our parent company Deutsche Telekom AG restructured the organization, splitting T-Systems Slovakia into two legal entities that now operate under one powerful brand: Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. This rebranding aligned us with one of Europe's most valuable telecommunications brands, opening doors to international collaboration and global opportunities. Today, we stand as a dynamically developing ICT service provider and a key contributor to the national economy, generating over 377 million euros in economic value. Our transformation continues as we embrace digital technologies, implement agile methodologies, and move from monolithic architectures to decoupled API-based systems - all while maintaining our commitment to being the most trustworthy partner in information and communication technologies. We give IT meaning by turning complex technical challenges into innovative solutions that drive our customers' success.
