In 2015, Digital Career Institute was founded to give people access to digital career fields, regardless of their background, CV, or formal education. What started as a small initiative during the refugee crisis has evolved into one of Germany's leading providers of digital vocational training. Founded by Stephan Bayer - a successful entrepreneur who also established sofatutor, Germany's leading digital learning platform - DCI was born from the recognition that the digital job market needed new pathways for entry.
Today, DCI operates as an AZAV-certified educational provider offering practical, up-to-date training programs in technical and commercial digital professions. With over 10,000 graduates, 100+ instructors, and participants from 100+ nationalities, the institute has demonstrated remarkable impact and scale. Their approach is distinctive: training is 100% eligible for funding through education vouchers (BGS) and activation vouchers (AVGS), completely remote with provided technology, and designed around real job requirements from day one. Courses span web development, cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft), data engineering, SAP development, online marketing, digital sales, HR, accounting, and business automation - taught live in digital classrooms with experienced instructors.
