In 2015, Digital Career Institute was founded to give people access to digital career fields, regardless of their background, CV, or formal education. What started as a small initiative during the refugee crisis has evolved into one of Germany's leading providers of digital vocational training. Founded by Stephan Bayer - a successful entrepreneur who also established sofatutor, Germany's leading digital learning platform - DCI was born from the recognition that the digital job market needed new pathways for entry.
Today, DCI operates as an AZAV-certified educational provider offering practical, up-to-date training programs in technical and commercial digital professions. With over 10,000 graduates, 100+ instructors, and participants from 100+ nationalities, the institute has demonstrated remarkable impact and scale. Their approach is distinctive: training is 100% eligible for funding through education vouchers (BGS) and activation vouchers (AVGS), completely remote with provided technology, and designed around real job requirements from day one.
