Eastwood and Cleef is a US company specializing in business management optimization and software development for healthcare companies.You will join an international remote team of first class professionals who are passionate to create products that improve the quality of medical services.

About the role

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer who will be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle from system design to deployment of your solutions to the cloud. You will work closely with all parties interested including top notch team of data analysts, ML and software engineers, QA specialists,leadership team and business representatives. You will develop python-based software solutions andREST services, optimise data pipelines and integrate solutions developed by Data Science and Machine Learning teams. In this role, you will have to design transactional databases to support scalable fault tolerant services. As part of this role, you will be required to troubleshoot complex system problems and fix them. To work effectively, you will communicate with all interested parties and participate in regular discussions of actual problems and project progress.

Candidates are expected to work full-time (160 hours per month). Compensation is $20 - $30 per hour and depends on qualifications of the candidate.


Requirements

Software design and architecture

  • Object oriented programming
  • SOLID (we want you implement solutions easy to maintain and implement new features)
  • REST + OpenAPI
  • Understand of software design patterns and anti-patterns
  • Fault tolerance principles
  • ETL (it would be nice if you have experience building complex data pipelines)
Python knowledge
  • SQLAlchemy
  • AsyncIO
  • Pandas
  • At least one web framework (FastAPI, Flask, Django, Pyramid etc)
  • Experience with object serialization frameworks (pydantic, marshmallow etc)
  • Experience using cloud services with clients libraries (GCloud, AWS, Oracle etc)
SQL
  • Ability to design and implement database schema following normalization principles
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries to accurately and efficiently acquire data from large datasets with complex table structures
  • Ability to analyze new and existing SQL queries for performance improvement
  • Experience with Google BigQuery and/or Google Spanner is a plus
DevOps
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes (if you understand how to configure hpa on gke is great!)
  • Experience with any CI/CD solution
