FCCN serves more than 600,000 students, researchers, and academics.

This encompasses high-speed internet connectivity, advanced computing resources, collaboration platforms, online learning systems (NAU), video publishing (Educast), secure file transfer (Filesender), and the B-ON online knowledge library. FCCN also operates PIX, Portugal's internet exchange point established in 1995, and hosts the eduroam roaming service for researchers and students.
FCCN contributes actively to international research networking through partnerships with GÉANT and other National Research and Education Networks worldwide.
