Georgia Lottery Corporation operates the state lottery system for Georgia, established through the Lottery for Education Act in 1992. The organisation manages eight game products spanning instant-win scratchers, daily number draws, and multi-state jackpot games including Powerball and Mega Millions. All revenues fund education initiatives: HOPE scholarships and Pre-K programmes, which together received $1.47 billion in fiscal year 2025.
Since its inception, the lottery has generated more than $29.8 billion for Georgia's education system, currently raising approximately $4 million daily. Based in Atlanta with 201–500 employees, the organisation is led by President and Chief Executive Gretchen Corbin, who has held the position since January 2018. The lottery contributes $400,000 annually to research, education, and treatment programmes addressing problem gambling.
