Kasha is a digital platform founded in 2016 to improve last-mile access to health products across Africa. The company operates as a retail and distribution network for pharmaceuticals and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs), with a particular focus on serving women's healthcare needs in low-income communities. Its model combines an omnichannel mobile platform with a physical network of over 400 local agents to bridge logistics gaps.
The platform is designed for high accessibility, available via website, USSD, and WhatsApp to function reliably in areas with limited internet connectivity. This approach supports a customer-focused supply chain that uses data to manage distribution across its operating countries. Key technical work involves building systems for digital retail, last-mile distribution, and supply chain innovation.
Kasha currently operates in Rwanda, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, the DRC, Ghana, Tanzania, and Egypt.
