GitLab

Traditional software development is broken: teams struggle with disconnected tools, security is an afterthought, and innovation slows under the weight of complexity. GitLab exists to fix this by providing the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, where teams and their AI agents ship secure software faster. Founded in 2011 as an open source project, GitLab now serves over 50 million users and more than half of the Fortune 100, replacing fragmented toolchains with a single platform that unifies planning, coding, security, and deployment. Our mission is to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. As an all-remote company with 2,500+ team members across 65+ countries, we've proven that distributed teams can build world-class software at scale. With over 170 consecutive monthly releases and 5,000+ contributors to our open core, we're transforming how organizations like NVIDIA, Siemens, and Lockheed Martin deliver value. GitLab doesn't just store code - it orchestrates the entire software lifecycle, giving every developer, security professional, and operator the tools they need to build the future.

Karbon

In 2014, three tech entrepreneurs who had already built and sold a payroll company to Xero identified a critical gap in the accounting industry. Stuart McLeod, Ian Vacin, and John Freeman realized that while general ledger software like Xero and QuickBooks served small business owners well, accountants themselves were left using fragmented tools that didn't integrate with their existing systems. They saw accountants struggling with team collaboration, client communication, maintaining visibility over work, and preventing tasks from falling through the cracks. So they founded Karbon with a clear mission: build the world's first collaborative practice management platform designed specifically for accounting firms. The name Karbon was chosen deliberately - inspired by carbon, one of the most abundant elements on Earth. Carbon hardens steel to create tools, records information on paper, and under pressure transforms into diamonds. This philosophy reflects Karbon's approach: strengthen accounting firms with better tools, serve as an archive for important work, and help firms create diamond-quality outcomes for their clients. What started as a vision to reimagine how accounting firms operate has grown into a global platform serving thousands of accounting professionals across 34 countries, saving the average firm 18.5 hours per employee per week.

Aktos

We're building the operating system that powers the debt collection industry, and we're taking a different approach than most. The accounts receivable management world has been stuck with inefficient workflows, compliance challenges, and payment systems that feel like they're from another decade. We saw an opportunity to change that by creating software that actually works the way modern agencies need it to. Our platform uses AI to help debt collection agencies automate their workflows, reduce overhead, and collect more effectively. We're not just building another tool - we're creating a complete system that handles everything from consumer communications and compliance to payments and invoicing. The team here comes from places like Zenefits, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, and Google, and we're applying that experience to solve real problems in an industry that's been overlooked for too long.
