Kyivstar is Ukraine's largest electronic communications operator, serving 23.3 million mobile subscribers and more than 1.1 million Home Internet subscribers as of the second quarter of 2025. The company has built the largest communication infrastructure in Ukraine, with over 70,700 base stations and a fiber-optic network spanning more than 44,000 km with 16 Tbps capacity. Since its founding in 1994 and the first call on December 9, 1997, Kyivstar has consistently led telecommunications innovation in Ukraine, introducing the first SMS services in 1998 and pioneering mobile Internet access with WAP technology in 2000.
As part of the international telecom group VEON, Kyivstar offers a comprehensive range of services including 4G LTE, Big Data analytics, cloud solutions, cybersecurity services, and digital TV through the Kyivstar TV platform. The company provides access to over 430 TV channels and a video library with more than 20,000 titles. Kyivstar is also a major economic contributor, ranking among Ukraine's top 20 largest taxpayers and investing nearly $6 billion in telecom infrastructure development. The company plans to invest an additional $1 billion between 2023-2027 and has actively supported Ukraine during the war, providing free services and contributing over 130 million hryvnias in humanitarian aid to the Armed Forces, hospitals, and war victims.
