Lindy builds an AI employee platform designed to function as a shared teammate rather than a collection of individual assistants. The system connects to a company's existing tools, learns institutional knowledge, and completes tasks autonomously on behalf of the whole team. It operates inside Slack, where users can @-mention it for help, and it automates multi-step workflows without code. The company is headquartered in San Francisco.
The product is built around several components: skills, which are named playbooks encoding how a team works; routines, for scheduled recurring tasks; meeting recording and summarisation; and a self-updating memory map of the business. Built-in approval workflows require user confirmation before actions with outside impact are executed. Lindy connects to over 1,000 applications, among them Salesforce, Notion, Stripe and GitHub, as well as any MCP server.
The underlying technical work spans AI agents, workflow automation, large language models, natural language processing, MCP integrations and agent memory systems. Application areas include sales and CRM, finance, software engineering, meetings and communications, and email management.
