Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is a graduate-level, research-focused institution established in 2019 in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. It is the world's first university entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence education and research, offering undergraduate, Master's, and Ph.D. programs across multiple AI disciplines including machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, and computational biology.
The university's research agenda encompasses large-scale AI systems and foundation models through its Institute of Foundation Models, which focuses on building, understanding, deploying, and managing advanced AI infrastructure. Leadership is provided by President and University Professor Eric Xing.
