In 2011, our founders Fernando Herrera and Esa Kinnunen recognized something crucial: European organizations were struggling to harness the full potential of public cloud. While cloud technology promised unprecedented agility and innovation, most companies lacked the expertise to navigate this complex landscape effectively. Traditional consulting firms were built for on-premise systems, and the emerging cloud providers were too focused on selling infrastructure rather than solving business problems. There was a gap in the market for a cloud-native partner who could truly guide enterprises through their cloud journey.
So they built Nordcloud - a company that would become Europe's leading cloud-native systems integrator. From our headquarters in Helsinki, we grew from a small team of cloud pioneers into a diverse community of over 1,100 experts representing 65 nationalities across 10 European hubs. We've completed more than 500 cloud projects, earned premier partner status with all three major cloud providers, and in 2021, joined IBM Consulting to accelerate our vision. Our mission remains the same: to help organizations leverage public cloud in a way that balances quick wins, immediate savings, and sustainable value - proving that cloud transformation isn't just about technology, but about building better businesses.
