Omnisent is a Munich-based deep-tech startup, founded in late 2024, that develops passive acoustic AI systems for drone detection and localization. The company's core stack combines three components: distributed acoustic AI sensor networks, proprietary ultra-low-power sonic hardware, and a foundation model for non-speech audio called the Large Acoustic Model (LAM). The hardware nodes operate on battery power for over a year, can be deployed - including from UAVs - in under ten minutes, and are designed to run silently without emissions. The distributed network architecture uses overlapping nodes to achieve 99.9% uptime and can scale to any site size. The LAM underpins real-time detection, classification, and localization of acoustic events across the network.
