Review AI-generated clinical documentation on a schedule you choose and help medical AI systems code inpatient records more accurately.
AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence: experts read what a model produces, decide whether it is right, and write the feedback that makes the next version better. Medical AI systems learn from examples checked by certified coders, so the teams building them need coding specialists who can spot where an AI-generated note, summary or code set departs from the actual record. This is part-time contract work done remotely, under 20 hours a week, on a schedule you choose.
What you'll do
• Check inpatient records and clinical documentation for coding accuracy, completeness and integrity
• Compare AI-generated notes, summaries, diagnoses and procedures with real medical records
• Find and settle discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure codes, using ICD-10 and CPT
• Enter AI-generated patient information into inpatient and outpatient medical record databases
Why this is worth your time
• Earn $50–$70 an hour reviewing inpatient coding and AI-generated clinical documentation
• Work on medical AI systems whose notes, summaries and codes you check against real records
• Apply your ICD-10, CPT and E&M knowledge to find where AI output falls short of coding standards
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Active CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA or RHIT certification, or a comparable AHIMA or AAPC coding certification
• Practical ICD-10 coding experience that includes inpatient records
• Currently working in medical coding or clinical documentation improvement
• Current official ICD-10 and CPT code books and E&M guidelines available to you
• Fluent in English
• Prior AI training work is not required.
Pay and details
• $50–$70 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
