Red Sky is a startup studio based in Poland, operating since 2006. It builds and scales technology companies through tech-for-equity partnerships, working alongside founders to deliver hands-on venture building rather than capital alone. The studio is backed by Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, which provides the funding component while Red Sky contributes technical implementation - covering MVP development, recruitment, and product-market fit guidance.
The portfolio spans a range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, climate tech, gaming, and digital platforms. In 2021, Red Sky's portfolio companies raised over $39 million in external financing. Past ventures have been acquired by Intel, Unikrn, and BOLD, among others. The team comprises more than 150 co-workers and associates, with an average employment tenure exceeding five years.
Red Sky also runs the Founders Academy, a free programme designed to give founders access to venture-building knowledge and tools. Technical roles at the studio sit at the intersection of product development and company creation - engineers and builders work directly on early-stage ventures across the studio's active portfolio rather than on a single product.
