REGENT is developing all-electric Seaglider vessels, a new class of wing-in-ground-effect vehicle designed for coastal and maritime transport. Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, where it operates the world's first Seaglider Manufacturing Facility. Its engineering work spans aerospace, maritime, electric vehicle design, and battery technology.
The company's core product, the Seaglider, flies just above the water's surface using wing-in-ground-effect principles. It is designed to service coastal routes up to 180 miles at 180 mph with current battery technology, with potential for up to 400 miles using next-generation batteries. The vessel is all-electric and operates using existing dock infrastructure.
REGENT also develops a defense variant, REGENT Defense, for military logistics, medical evacuation, and reconnaissance. The company has secured over $10 billion in commercial orders and a $15 million contract with the U.S. Marine Corps. Its technology targets maritime transport, coastal ferry services, regional aviation, and national security applications.
