Teleo was founded in 2019 to address labor shortages in heavy industry by converting existing construction and mining equipment into supervised autonomous machines. The company develops a retrofit kit that transforms standard dozers, trucks, loaders, and excavators into semi-autonomous robots. These can be operated remotely from a command center, allowing a single operator to supervise multiple machines simultaneously.
The company's technical work spans robotics, autonomous systems, remote operation, and retrofit engineering. Its founding team includes former leaders from Lyft's self-driving division and Google Street View. Teleo is backed by Y Combinator, UP.Partners, and F-Prime Capital, and has deployments across multiple continents.
