In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced algorithms that enable autonomous vehicles to accurately sense, interpret, and interact with the world around them. - Design, develop, andoptimizehigh-performance, multi-threaded applications using Modern C++ (C++11 and newer)
- Leverage the POSIX API for threading, memory management, and system resource management in a resource-constrained environment.
- Develop andmaintainsystem-level software, services, and libraries for embedded Linux and QNX platforms.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Profile, debug, andoptimizesoftware to meet stringent performance, concurrency, and real-time latency requirements.
- Develop andmaintainrobust build environments using tools likeCMakeand cross-compilation toolchains.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, andparticipateactively in peer code reviews.
- Create andmaintaintechnical documentation for the software you develop.
- Driveengineering excellence by writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code
Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proven professional experience in software development using C++.
- Strongproficiencyin Modern C++ (C++11 or newer), including features like smart pointers, move semantics, lambdas, and the Standard Template Library (STL).
- Extensive hands-on experience with the POSIX API and developing applications for POSIX-compliant systems like Linux.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in multithreading, concurrency, and synchronization primitives (e.g., mutexes, semaphores, condition variables).
- Direct experience with a real-time operating system (RTOS), with a strong preference for QNX.
- Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, computer architecture, and networking protocols.
- Experience with cross-compilation toolchains.
- Prior experience in self-driving or ADAS development and familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF)
