White Cube is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1993 in London. It represents more than 70 international artists and artist estates, presenting their work through exhibitions in galleries across three continents and through off-site projects realised alongside its main programme.
The gallery operates spaces in five cities: New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Seoul. Alongside its physical venues, White Cube runs an online programme of exhibitions intended to complement the gallery spaces. The organisation describes itself as purposefully artist-led, structured around supporting the creative ambitions of the artists it represents.
Over more than 30 years of operation, White Cube has staged the first British exhibitions by a number of prominent artists, among them Tracey Emin, Julie Mehretu, Hiroshi Sugimoto and Luc Tuymans. Its stated position is that art has the power to enrich people's lives, and its programme spans contemporary art, exhibitions and fine art across its international locations.
