AI Verse is a French deeptech company that builds the technology used to train deep-learning networks for vision-based applications. Its core capability is the generation of annotated synthetic imagery for training computer-vision AI systems: a proprietary procedural engine produces synthetic image datasets in hours, complete with pixel-perfect labels, RGB and infrared imaging, and eight annotation types. The datasets are designed to be merged with real-world data in order to train computer-vision models.
The company's technical work spans synthetic data generation, computer vision, deep learning, procedural content generation, image annotation, infrared imaging and robotics. Applications of the technology reach defense, autonomous systems, drones, security and smart-home products, reflecting a dual-use orientation across civilian and defense markets. AI Verse was selected by NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) and was recognized as a national technology champion by President Emmanuel Macron.
AI Verse was founded by robotics and AI PhDs and launched at INRIA, the French research institute, and describes itself as a deeptech outfit focused on breakthrough R&D. Its investors include Supernova, Innovacom and Bpifrance. Further details are available at https://ai-verse.com/.
