eleQtron GmbH, founded in 2020 and based in Siegen and Hamburg, Germany, develops and operates freely programmable quantum computers using trapped-ion technology. The company grew out of a university research group and was Germany's first quantum computing hardware startup. It employs over 90 international experts and was recognised as a Technology Pioneer 2025 by the World Economic Forum.

The firm's core product is a MAGIC-based quantum computer. Its proprietary MAGIC (Magnetic Gradient Induced Coupling) approach replaces traditional laser control of qubits with precise microwave technology, which the company says yields more scalable, robust and accurate qubit control. This microwave-control method targets industrial-grade computing solutions.

eleQtron has secured over €50 million in seed funding and holds major contracts worth approximately €82 million from DLR (the German Aerospace Centre). The company actively participates in major German quantum initiatives, including EPIQ, FullStaQD and the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative. Its target industry verticals span materials research, pharmaceuticals, logistics, finance and supply chain management.
