Founded in 2021, Healthtech-1 builds automation and clinical AI tools for NHS primary care. The company's technology addresses administrative tasks in GP practices, including patient registration, laboratory result filing, and patient triage and appointment booking. Its Automated Registrations product has processed over half a million patient registrations to date.
The London-based company has achieved significant scale within the NHS, with its software adopted by over 1,400 GP practices across England - approximately a quarter of all such practices in the country. Healthtech-1 was selected as a supplier for NHS England's national Register with a GP service.
Co-founders Raj Paul and Pete Huang, childhood friends, started the company with the aim of improving healthcare accessibility. The company was part of the Y Combinator S23 cohort and has been recognised as the 33rd fastest-growing startup in Europe.
