MaiaSpace designs, manufactures, operates and commercializes sustainable launch and mobility solutions for small spacecraft. Founded in 2022 and based in France, the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of ArianeGroup and works across the European space sector.
Its principal product is Maia, a reusable and eco-responsible mini-launch vehicle intended to provide flexible access to Low Earth Orbit, Sun-Synchronous Orbit and more energetic destinations. Technical work spans reusable launch vehicle design, propulsion testing, stage separation systems, spacecraft mobility solutions and small spacecraft launch services, with an emphasis on sustainable, eco-responsible space systems. The company serves markets including connectivity, climate observation, resource management, security and scientific development.
MaiaSpace employs more than 400 people, with over 15 nationalities represented in the team. Working methods are multidisciplinary and agile, including Scrum-based practices, combining startup-style agility with established European space engineering heritage.
