REWE Group is a Cologne-based retail and tourism cooperative founded in 1927 through the merger of 17 purchasing cooperatives. Today it operates across 21 countries with approximately 384,000 employees, serving around 12 million customers every day. Its retail footprint in Germany alone spans over 3,800 stores.

- REWE – full-service supermarkets forming the core food retail segment
- PENNY – a discount supermarket chain
- toom – home improvement and DIY stores
- BIPA – specialty drugstores and cosmetics retail
- DERTOUR Group – a comprehensive travel and tourism division
As a cooperative, REWE Group operates under a shared-ownership model with democratic governance principles that have remained central to its structure since its founding. On sustainability, the group has committed to climate neutrality by 2040, pioneers organic and sustainable product lines, and runs animal welfare programmes including the Fair zum Tier initiative. In Austria, it sources 100% of fresh meat from local suppliers.
