We started back in 2002 when four music-loving engineers in Santa Barbara decided there had to be a better way to listen to music at home. No one had really heard of music streaming yet, and getting sound throughout your house meant either cranking the volume way up or running cables through walls. We saw the potential in home networking and set out with a straightforward goal: make it easy to play any song in any room.
Since then, we have kept pushing forward - creating wireless speakers, home theater systems, headphones, and whole-home audio that have actually defined entire categories. We hold thousands of patents, operate in more than 60 countries, and work with Oscar and GRAMMY-winning producers who help fine-tune our products so you hear music exactly as the artist intended. Our team embraces hack weeks and experiment labs because we believe the best ideas come from trying things that might not work.
