About

We're a team of more than 350 people from almost 50 nationalities, working together to transform how offline businesses reach their customers. As part of Axel Springer SE, we've spent 16 years building digital platforms that connect millions of shoppers with their favorite local stores and brands. Through our apps kaufDA and MeinProspekt in Germany, and Bonial in France, we help over 1,500 retailers - from major chains like Lidl, dm, and Woolworth to local businesses - reach 14.4 million unique users every month with relevant, efficient advertising that actually saves time, money, and paper.

What really drives us is creating a workplace where people can bring their full selves to work. We've built our culture around five principles: owning your impact, putting people at the center, embracing reality with data-driven decisions, operating as leader-leader with distributed authority, and practicing idea meritocracy where the best concept wins regardless of hierarchy. These aren't just words on a wall - they're woven into how we hire, onboard, collaborate, and grow. We offer flexible working arrangements including remote work options, invest in learning and development through regular goal-setting conversations, and actively support diversity initiatives like our Women in Tech program because we believe different perspectives make us stronger.

Applift

Applift is an App Store Optimization (ASO) platform that combines artificial intelligence with data-driven marketing strategies to improve apps' visibility on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The platform continuously analyzes app store trends and applies algorithmic and marketing techniques to push clients' apps toward the top of search results, with the aim of generating organic growth at lower acquisition costs than paid channels. The technical work centers on several interconnected domains: keyword and ranking optimization, app store trend analysis, organic momentum generation, and influencing app store algorithms to surface clients' apps to relevant users. The platform is designed to operate continuously rather than as a one-time audit, adjusting strategies as store conditions change. Applift states it has operated as an ASO solution for major brands since 2017, serving app studios across industries including fintech, and claims recognition as an industry standard in 2025. A published case example describes a fintech client that reduced Cost Per Install (CPI) by more than 97% and grew its user base by 3% within three months of using the platform.
