Latitude Financial is a digital instalments and lending business operating in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. It provides consumer finance through credit cards, interest-free payment plans and personal loans, competing with the major banks as an independent consumer lender. The company was carved out of GE in 2015, when it was acquired by Värde Partners, KKR and Deutsche Bank, and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in April 2021. Its lineage reaches back to the 1920s through Australian Guarantee Corporation (AGC).
Engineering work sits across digital lending, consumer finance technology, personal lending platforms, digital instalments and payments, and credit risk and financing. The product portfolio spans accessible credit cards, interest-free financing delivered through retail partners, and personal loans. In 2021 Latitude acquired Symple Loans, a Melbourne-based personal lending fintech, to expand its digital capabilities. Earlier integrations include Nissan Finance, AVCO Financial and Hallmark Insurance.
The business distributes through more than 5,500 brokers nationwide and through retail partners including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Amart, The Warehouse Group, Samsung and Apple. Latitude states a mission of making financing possible at life's important moments and describes a culture of pushing the boundaries of what is possible in consumer finance.
