Motor Oil is a Greek energy group founded in 1972 that refines crude oil and trades petroleum products in Greece and international markets. Its refinery processes more than 200,000 barrels per day, placing the company among Europe's leading petroleum refiners, and it exports to more than 75 countries. The group employs roughly 3,500 people and operates the Avin and Coral retail networks, comprising more than 1,500 fuel stations.
Beyond refining and trading, the group's activities span lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, power and natural gas, alternative fuels, mobility services and environmental and circular-economy services. It also offers electric-vehicle charging as part of its mobility operations.
The group is building a renewable energy portfolio of approximately 940 MW of net operating capacity as part of a shift toward lower-carbon energy. Technical work across the business touches petroleum refining, crude oil processing, product trading, power systems, renewable generation and electric mobility.
Motor Oil states that it focuses on employee safety, capability development and business ethics, and on creating long-term value for shareholders and society while investing in the energy transition.
