Puma Energy

About

Puma Energy is a global downstream energy company founded in 1997, owning and operating refineries, storage facilities, distribution networks and retail sites across Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific. The company operates two refineries in Nicaragua and Papua New Guinea, supplying fuels and lubricants through a network of over 2,100 retail sites and approximately 6,000 business customers including mining operators, logistics companies, airlines and construction firms.

The company's operations span the full downstream value chain. Its aviation fuelling business serves around 107 airports and airfields globally. Beyond fuel retail, Puma Energy supplies bitumen for road construction projects across multiple continents and provides B2B energy solutions to industrial and commercial customers. The business model relies on integrated assets - from refining capacity through to point-of-sale retail operations - to serve diverse customer segments.

Puma Energy has begun diversifying into renewable and lower-carbon energy solutions, including solar energy, sustainable fuels and carbon offset products. This expansion reflects broader shifts in the energy sector whilst maintaining core downstream operations in fuel distribution and retail across established markets.
