Khan Academy

About

We're a nonprofit organization with a simple but ambitious mission: provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. What started in 2008 as Sal Khan tutoring his cousin has grown into a platform with over 181 million registered learners across 190 countries. We offer thousands of interactive exercises, videos, and articles covering subjects from kindergarten through early college - math, science, grammar, history, AP, SAT, and more - all completely free.

Our team includes people from academia, traditional and non-traditional education, big tech companies, and tiny startups. We're particularly focused on serving learners in historically under-resourced communities and believe that transforming education starts in-house with learning about ourselves and our colleagues. Whether you're a student struggling with algebra, a teacher looking for supplemental resources, or a parent trying to support your child's learning, we're here to help you learn at your own pace, in and out of the classroom.
